Dolce&Gabbana Men Summer 2014 - Mythological Sicily

The Dolce & Gabbana Men’s Summer 2014 draws inspiration from Sicilian mythology, whose Greek origins
are still retraceable in places such as the Valle dei Templi of Agrigento, at the majestic amphitheatres, like the
one at Taormina, and at the Tempio di Apollo of Syracuse.
Creativity and tailoring research are the cornerstones of the collection, where the fantastical, triumphs in the
prints of antique gods such as those of Zeus and Apollo, whose effigies are present in the whole collection.
Symbolic of their legendary force is the impeccable and rigorous tailoring research, which has always been an integral part of the style of Dolce & Gabbana.
As well, the chosen imagery of the subjects represented is purposeful: Zeus represents creation and absolute
force, while Apollo is the sun, the light, the positivity and the beauty.
On the catwalk, once again, are Sicilians chosen by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, representing the modern Ulysses.
