Crookers ft Roisin Murphy - Royal T

Róisín Murphy, nome completo Róisín Marie Murphy (Arklow, 5luglio 1973), è una cntante irlandese. Ha raggiunto la fama come voce del duo Moloko, prima di intraprendere la carriera da solista.

Collabora anche con altri artisti, tra cui Boris Dlugosch (già autore del remix del singolo dei Moloko, Sing it Back), col quale ha prodotto il singolo Never Enough (2001), gli Psychedelic Waltons (Wonderland), gli Handsome Boy Modeling School (The Truth), gli Spook (Feel Up, cover dell'omonimo brano di Grace Jones), e i Pulp.

Nel 2004 collabora con il produttore Matthew Herber per dare vita ad una carriera solista pubblicando tre EP in edizione limitata su vinile: Sequins 1, Sequins 2 e Sequins 3, cui segue, nel giugno 2005, la pubblicazione dell'album Ruby Blue con la casa discografica Echo Records.

Nel maggio 2006 firma un contratto con la casa discografica  EMI e inizia a lavorare con numerosi produttori al nuovo album, Overpowered, uscito in Italia il 19 ottobre 2007, preceduto da due singoli: la title track Overpowered e Let Me Know.

Da Overpowered è stato estratto un terzo singolo, You Know Me Better, pubblicato il 31 marzo 2008. Il quarto singolo previsto, Movie Star, dopo numerose posticipazioni è stato definitivamente cancellato, nonostante la circolazione sia di un videoclip, sia di un promo con alcuni remix e la b-side Slave to Love, cover di un brano di Bryan Ferry, usata per lo spot televisivo per Gucci. Alla base dell'annullamento del singolo è anche la crisi che sta coinvolgendo l'etichetta discografica EMI.

Nel frattempo continua a collaborare con diversi produttori tra cui Mason, al quale presta la voce nel brano Boadicea, Toddla T e Tony Christie, col quale ha duettato nel suo nuovo album Now's The Time

Róisín Murphy, the full name Róisín Marie Murphy (Arklow, 5luglio 1973) is an Irish singer. He achieved fame as the voice of the duo Moloko, before embarking on a solo career. 

She also collaborates with other artists, including Boris Dlugosch (former author of the single remix of Moloko, Sing It Back), with whom he produced the single "Never Enough (2001), the Psychedelic Waltons (Wonderland), the Handsome Boy Modeling School ( The Truth), the Spook (Feel Up Grace Jones' cover of the song), and Pulp.

In 2004 she collaborated with producer Matthew Herbert to give birth to a solo career releasing three EPs on vinyl in limited edition: 1 Sequins, Sequins Sequins 2 and 3, followed in June 2005 with the release of Ruby Blue Home Echo Records label.

Overpowered was extracted from a third single, You Know Me Better, published March 31, 2008. The planned fourth single, Movie Star, after several postponements was completely removed, although the movement is a video clip, and a promo with some remixes and a b-side Slave to Love, a cover of a song by Bryan Ferry, used tothe television commercial for Gucci. The basis for cancellation of the individual is also a crisis that involves the record label EMI. 

In 2009, lends her voice to some artists, including David Byrne and Fatboy Slim in their project Here Lies Love (the single Do not You Agree) and the Italian duo Crookers (Hold Up Your Hand in the single and album Royal T Tons of Friends). 

Clodagh was born on 16 December 2009, received by the partner Simon Henwood and in February 2010 decided to cut all ties with record label EMI, stressing that her priority right now is family and it is unlikely that the release of an album with tracksproduced the year before. The new performance Róisín have a meeting between the dj-set and the concert where the artist uses a band mix, but other people's songs with their singing and interacting with live visual installations from her taken care of. 

In the meantime, continues to work with different producers including Mason, who lends her voice in song Boadicea, Toddla T and Tony Christie, with whom he duets on his new album Now's The Time.

Il 16 dicembre 2009 nasce Clodagh, avuta dal compagno Simon Henwood e da febbraio 2010 decide di tagliare ogni legame con l'etichetta discografica EMI, ribadendo che la sua priorità al momento è la famiglia e che è improbabile la pubblicazione di un album con le tracce prodotte l'anno prima. Le nuove performance di Róisín sono un incontro fra il dj-set e il concerto, dove l'artista non si avvale di una band ma mixa brani altrui con i propri, cantando dal vivo ed interagendo con installazioni visuali da lei curate.
